Growing up together in the valley we developed a strong bond with each other and our community. It is our goal to bring our passion, integrity, and strong work ethic to the community through our services.

Karin Royle

Partner
Karin Royle, Licensed Fiduciary #20891, is a Phoenix native with deep ties to the community. Her love for helping others and her experience with those most vulnerable in our community naturally led her to start this company. Karin is a strong advocate for those in need and is driven to help and protect. Having a brother and cousin with special needs, her goal was to build a company founded on trust—a company she would want managing her own family's affairs.

Karin received a bachelor’s degree and Juris Doctor degree from the University of Arizona. She spent 12 years as a prosecutor for the Maricopa County Attorney’s Office and the Arizona Attorney General's Office standing up for victims' rights and rooting out fraud. During her tenure as a prosecutor, her dedication was recognized through various accolades. Among other distinctions, she was the recipient of the FBI Award for Contributions and Successes in Prosecuting Mortgage Fraud in Arizona, the recipient of the Arizona Attorney General's Office of Victim Services Law Angel Award, and a nominee of the Arizona Prosecuting Attorneys' Advisory Council David R. White Excellence in Victim Advocacy Award. In addition, she has presented at the State Bar of Arizona Annual Convention on Criminal Risks in Real Estate Deals.

Karin also has a passion for animals and previously served on the Board of Directors for The Arizona Pet Project. In her free time, Karin enjoys practicing Ashtanga yoga, running, traveling, and spending quality time with family and friends.
Carlota Wilhelm

Carlota Wilhelm is the co-founder of Valley of the Sun Fiduciary. Her deep sense of responsibility and uncompromising ethical principles inspired her to start a company committed to supporting and protecting the interests of the people in her community of Maricopa County.
Carlota was born and raised in Phoenix and graduated summa cum laude from Arizona State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering. Upon graduating, she worked for seven years as an engineer for a local company. Her studies and career as an engineer complemented and nurtured her attention to detail and strong work ethic.
While working full time as an engineer, Carlota obtained a bachelor’s degree in Accounting. She also has more than 15 years of experience as a realtor and in property management.
In her free time, Carlota enjoys dancing, traveling, and spending quality time with her husband and children.
